    Take a deep dive into the Legs Section of the course with Melissa Malde.  This will be an in-depth, detailed study of concepts in the Teaching Manuals, image selection and explorations.

    Overuse Injuries, Pain, and How to Find a Knowledgeable Health Care Practitioner

     In this webinar we will discuss current evidence related to overuse injuries and persistent pain.  We'll also provide effective strategies to locate health care providers who possess the expertise you need to obtain best care.

    The non-member fee is $10, and it may be applied to the annual affiliate membership cost!

    What Every Musician Needs to Know

    COURSE DESCRIPTION

    Section One: An Introduction to Body MappingLearn about how the way you think about your body changes your movement.

    Section Two: Balance: Understand our six places of balance to find freedom and dynamic buoyancy in movement.

    ​Section Three: Arms: Map the whole arm and its relationship to the torso.

    Section Four: Breathing: Accurately map breathing structures for better breathing.

    ​Section Five: Legs: Move with a greater understanding of weight delivery.

    Section Six: Body Mapping Masterclass: How to cooperate actively with your anatomy, in macro and micro movement while singing or playing your instrument.

Whether you are a musician, office worker, dancer, athlete, or seeker, join us and support your personal growth and development by spending a week in gorgeous Boulder, Colorado!

    AT+ TrioFor 2024, the AT+ team will include Amy Likar (DMA in flute and Director of Training for the Association for Body Mapping Education), James Brody (Director of the Musicians’ Wellness Program at the CU Boulder College of Music) and Matthew Tomatz (embedded psychotherapist to the College of Music).

    Likar and Brody will call on their decades of experience with musicians and the general community to provide effective strategies for efficient movement and thinking. Using an integrative approach, Tomatz will present daily sessions to deepen the program through mindfulness, yoga, breath practices and performance psychology.

    As always, we encourage Master of Music Education students to join us for guidance on how to bring these powerful tools into your classrooms. Anyone with appropriate standing is eligible to receive one graduate-level credit through CU Boulder Continuing Education for an additional fee.

    This special event is being offered in conjunction with the week-long AT+ program.

    All are welcome class for a fee of $175.00. You do not have to enroll for AT+ to attend.
