Balance of the violin/viola and a movement exploration to know you can arrive anywhere on the fingerboard and to any part of the bow- the "scarecrow" exercise.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;2. Head balance and the appropriate feel of the chin rest and the angle of the violin&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;3. How to stay open in the chest and not impinge on the nerves when shifting, vibrating, or crossing strings&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;4. The three curves of the bow that are assisted by movement at the humeroscapular joint, the elbow joint, and the wrist joint that agree with the shape of the bow&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;5. Thumb balance and the ability to choose your vibrato speed and amplitude&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 19px;"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#222222" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;6.&amp;nbsp; Movement from the legs to assist string crossing, retake bows, shifting, and tone production that create effective musical phrasing&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p style="line-height: 24px;"&gt;&lt;font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;Musical samples will be provided following registration.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
